The hands behind the Lab…

These are the people & places behind 80 years of Adelaide Laboratories…

…We may have taken a few liberties with the portraits

Founder

An absolute gentleman and a man of many talents. Kevin established Adelaide Laboratories in the dental precinct that was Shell House on North Terrace, Adelaide.

Kevin was known for his depth of knowledge and quality gold restorations. He was always looking ahead, exploring new materials and techniques, collaborating with dentists, and never losing sight of the patient.

Second generation

Steve was alongside Kevin when Adelaide Laboratories made the significant move from Shell House, helping carry the business into its next chapter.

Steve carried the Kitto name forward with his easy-going nature, quiet integrity and genuine approach to building relationships with dentists.

Current custodian

Creative and strategic in equal measure, Katie brings creativity and organisation to the business — from its systems and administration to shaping the look, feel and personality of Adelaide Laboratories, bringing the technical and creative sides of the business together.

Current custodian

In 2011, Pete and Katie took over from Steve, with Pete soon steering the lab into the digital era, purchasing Adelaide’s first Amann Girrbach CAD/CAM system in 2013.

Pete combines decades of technical knowledge with a practical knack for solving problems, improving processes and seeing what’s coming — usually with a coffee in hand and a laugh not far behind.

Mascot / CEO / Queen

Frankie sometimes deigns to grace us with her presence at the lab, mostly to bark orders at everyone & demand cheese.
Knowing where she contributes value, she appreciates it when Pete includes her in executive coffee meetings at Mister Sunshines.

Kidlets

Not to be forgotten, Lily & The Villain have been on board for deliveries since they were bubs. Occasionally you will still see them drop off or pick up work…for their supper.
